Customising your email templates
Every email your automations send — welcome, booking confirmations, reminders, follow-ups — is a template. You’ll find them under Marketing → Emails → Templates. They’re named with short codes, such as EM-01, so we can find the right one quickly when you ask for a change.
We’ve written and branded them for you, using your business name, colours and booking links. You’re welcome to change the wording to sound more like you.
Before you edit
Section titled “Before you edit”- Edit the template itself, not the email inside an automation. Changes made inside an automation can quietly revert to the original later.
- Leave the merge fields alone. Text in curly brackets, such as
{{contact.first_name}}, fills in automatically for each person. Edit the words around them, not the brackets. - Ask us to change business-wide details — your business name, booking link, address or brand colours. These are stored once and used across all your emails, so one change from us updates every email at once.
- Colours need a
#. If you ever type a colour code, write#CF273B, notCF273B. Without the#, buttons can turn invisible.
Making a change
Section titled “Making a change”- Go to Marketing → Emails → Templates and open the template.
- Click into the text you want to change and edit it.
- Save.
- Send yourself a test and read it as if you were the lead.
Checklist before you finish
Section titled “Checklist before you finish”- The test email reads well on your phone, not just your computer
- Every button is visible and goes to the right place — this is the most common email problem
- Your name, offer and links are right, with nothing left over from a previous version
- If you changed an offer or price, you’ve told us so we can update the matching text message too — texts are separate from emails
